The continuing Covid-19 pandemic is affecting every single one of us in one way or another. We completely appreciate that gardens aren’t ‘life and death’, but we also know how important having an enjoyable and relaxing outside space can be for so many people. This is particularly the case in times of crisis and change, even if it just initially involves having something pleasant to focus on and to look forward to for when things improve.

For this reason, we continue to be open and available for new and existing customers. We are doing our best to keep up to date with the latest official guidance, and we have adapted some of the ways we work to try to ensure we are working as safely as possible. We are happy to undertake outside consultations and meetings with our customers (unless, of course, they are self-isolating) and we can still provide our full range of garden design services. We are also doing our best to accommodate any specific requirements if asked to do so.

So, if you have a garden project you would like to discuss with Tythorne Garden Design please do get in touch. Call us on 07900 224 239 or 01529 455 355, or drop us an email at

Trusted, reliable and professional: your local garden designer

Are you looking for a trusted and reliable local garden designer for your garden project in Grantham, Stamford, Newark or the surrounding areas? Tythorne Garden Design can help you to enjoy your garden more.

Garden design for South Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire & Rutland

We offer professional fixed fee garden design services for customers across South Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Rutland. As qualified and experienced local garden designers, we can help you make the most of your outdoor space and create the garden you have always wanted. Based just a few miles from Grantham, we are ideally located to design beautiful and practical gardens across the local area.

This local knowledge is crucial to successful garden design. We purposely choose to only take garden design commissions within an hour or so from our HQ (life is far too short to spend hours travelling in the car), so the chances are that we have probably designed a garden near to where you live at some point in recent years. We most often work for customers in the towns and villages around Grantham, Stamford and Newark, but we are more than happy to discuss projects in or around Lincoln, Nottingham, Peterborough and Rutland.

Garden design ideas for every type of garden

Tythorne Garden Design is pleased to help our customers with landscape design ideas and solutions for a wide variety of different garden sizes and styles. Large garden design, small garden design, flat garden design, sloping garden design, low-maintenance garden design, rural garden design, urban garden design, traditional garden design, contemporary garden design… you get the idea. No matter what sort of garden you’ve got or would like to have, we will probably be able to help you with a variety of garden design ideas

To help you make the most of your new garden design, we are also delighted to provide professional landscape planting design and a comprehensive garden lighting design services. We can also design water features, purpose-made seating areas, focal points and almost anything else you might choose to include in your new garden.

Your perfect new garden: listening to your individual requirements

Any successful landscape design project requires a really positive, open and honest relationship between the customer and the garden designer. It is, after all, your garden we are talking about, so it is important that we ensure that we get it right for you and your family. As well as using our experience and garden design know-how, we will work hard to ensure that we always listen carefully to your individual requirements. Every single garden Tythorne Garden Design creates is completely bespoke and tailor made to suit our customer, their property and the setting.

Professional fixed-fee garden design fees:

Wouldn’t life be simple if we all treated each other fairly and openly? We think so, and that’s why we are proud to offer FREE initial garden design consultations (within our usual working area) and fixed-price garden design fees. It’s pretty simple- we charge according to the size of the garden we are asked to design, so the smaller the garden the smaller the fee.

Don't worry if you don't know how large your garden is, we can usually verbally declare our garden design fees at an initial garden design consultation meeting. We’ll also always confirm our fee in writing before you decide if you'd like to proceed with a garden design commission. And, for the vast majority of projects, we won’t ask for payment until we’ve produced a garden design to your complete satisfaction.
